UK TOURISM AGENTS EXPLORE TANZANIA’S TOURISM ATTRACTIONS TO BOOST EUROPEAN MARKET APPEAL

Major tourism agents from the United Kingdom are in Tanzania to visit various conserved areas to explore tourist attractions and investment opportunities, with the goal of promoting the country in the European market.

The leader of the group, Debbie Mayger, who arrived with her team at the Ngorongoro Conservation Area today, 29 November 2025, stated that they came to Tanzania to see the wealth of tourist attractions, cultural heritage, wildlife species, landscapes, natural conservation, and coastal attractions, as well as Tanzanian customs and traditions.

“We have heard a lot about Tanzania. We have a large tourist market in European countries, and they love wildlife tourism, the Ngorongoro Crater, the world heritage sites in Ngorongoro, the Ngorongoro Lengai Geopark, the cultures within the conservation areas, environmental protection and conservation, hospitality, and the peace that exists here. This visit will give us firsthand experience to better promote Tanzania, and we expect to continue attracting more visitors from the European market,” Mayger added.

Receiving the agents, NCAA Senior Marketing Officer Michael Makombe said that the knowledge gained by these agents reflects the government’s efforts, through the Ministry of Natural Resources, conservation institutions, and tourism stakeholders. The purpose of visiting Ngorongoro is to see the attractions, promote them, and influence their home countries to continue sending tourists to experience wildlife, cultural, environmental, culinary, and historical tourism.

The agents, who are with the tourism company Shades of Green, have already visited Tarangire National Park and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area and will next visit Serengeti National Park and other sites.
